Strange Words

There are a few words you may see on the SAT and then never see for the rest of your life. Doesn't matter. If they're on your test, you'll want to know them. Here are a few.

DROSS -- the impurities in metal

COVEN -- a group of witches

NECROMANCY -- communication with the dead

PALISADE -- a row of stakes

PRIDE -- a group of lions

CONFLAGRATION -- big fire
